Open House/Meet the Curator

Open to the Public! Come to the Open House/Final Reception of Staggering Losses: WW1 & the Influenza Epidemic of 19189:00 am-6:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21st, 2019. Ebling Library 750 Highland Ave. Come attend the exhibition for which one viewer remarked, “Seriously, how you wove all these stories and materials together?! I was blown away…”

Here’s logistics…From 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. the options are the pay lot to the right of the Tennis Auditorium (Lot 82) or the pay ramp belonging to the UW Hospital (Lot 75). If you come after 4:30, there is free parking in the campus lot to the left of the Nielsen Tennis Auditorium (Lot 82), across the street from the Health Sciences Learning Center (HSLC) at 750 Highland Ave.

If you’re elsewhere on campus, the 80 (Free) bus drops right at our door, again, 750 Highland Ave.

Once in the building, come up to the 3rd floor, either via the elevator adjacent to the first floor Atrium, or by going up the stairs, to the 2nd floor, entering Ebling, and coming up to the 3rd floor. There will be signs directing visitors.

Once on the 3rd floor, if you come via elevator, you take a right, come towards the carpeted bridge, and the Historical Reading Room, where the exhibition is installed is on your right. If you come via the Library, you come up to 3, come across an expanse of carpeting, see the carpeted bridge and the Reading Room door will be on your left. Again, there will be signs. Please come.
