Pieces of Me: The Art of Yan Xu
May 6 - June 18, 2009
Ebling Library, 3rd Floor Gallery
"Pieces of Me," an exhibition of paper collage and watercolors by Yan Xu, will be on display in the 3rd floor Ebling gallery from May 6th through June 18, 2009.
These gorgeous, ethereal works feature women, horses, cats and birds (even penguins).
Three of the paper collages feature an "ex libris" motif. These are lovely, affordable, and
evoke a decidedly "Spring" feeling. Yan Xu's mother, Yongjing handmade most of the golden and black frames.

Pharmaceuticals & Pharmacists: The Evolving Relationship
Guest curated by the American Institute for the History of Pharmacy
October 1st through November 30th, 2008
Drugs and druggists go hand-in-hand in the mind of the public. By the early 1800s, pharmaceutists were manufacturing ingredients to be compounded into prescriptions. During the late 1900s, large companies came to dominate the production of medicines while pharmacists took on greater responsibility for their proper use. This exhibit explores this historical partnership by looking at how medicine production, regulation, and marketing have changed over time in parallel with the development of the pharmacy profession.

Artist Cynthia McKeen
May 1st through August 1st, 2008
Fresh from her exhibition at the Danish Immigrant Museum in Iowa, Cyndy's work exemplifies the Danish paper cutting tradition. Her intricate nature scenes, whimsical animals, Christmas trees, and mobiles, will amaze as well as delight. The installation also displays the die cutting tools used in creating these masterpieces. Cyndy's photographs taken in Japan and other locales capture what she refers to as the "spirit of place." A large Global Harmony Labyrinth, a visual metaphor for life's journey, completes the multi-media exhibition. Please distribute widely-school children love her work as well...
