How to Submit Course Reserves

You may submit your reserves electronically or in person.

  • Electronic Submission
Use the Online Submission Form to attach files or simply give us citation information and we will locate the items for you. Please note that your e-reserves will be removed from the public server once the course has ended.
  • Hard-Copy Submission
Submit a completed Course Reserve Request Form to the Service Desk of Ebling Library. You may give us citations or physical copies of the items you want on reserve.

Types of items accepted for Reserves

  • Electronic Reserves Collection
Book chapters, journal articles, exams, lectures, syllabi, etc.
  • Print/Multimedia Reserves Collection
Books, videotapes, course readers, CDs, etc.

Learn@UW Users

Please be aware that if you are using e-reserves in conjunction with Learn@UW, you will need to get a new URL from Reserves staff each semester. Contact us at 265-3994 for the current semester's URL.

Personal copies may be placed on reserve if you choose. Please note that we will affix barcodes, tattletape, and labels to personal copies. While the library takes the same precautions with faculty-owned items placed on reserves as it does with its own collections, it cannot be responsible for damage or loss of any personal or departmental copies. Personal copies will circulate outside the library unless otherwise requested.

All reserve requests will be processed as quickly as possible. Reserve items will be returned to the instructor at the end of the semester.

Instructors are responsible for ensuring that reserve material is in copyright compliance. For more information, see:
