Do you have this article?

If you are confident that you have a correct citation, Find It can tell you if we have it online or in print, and will lead you to Article & Book Delivery where you can request the article. Do you have a lost and found?

Yes, we do. Stop by our service desk, or call us at (608) 262-2020. Valuable items are stored in a safe and are generally not retrievable after 4:30 PM and on weekends.

Can I reserve a group study room?

Yes. Seven of our group study rooms can be reserved. Find available rooms and place a reservation

How do I cite this?

How do I find Journal Impact Factors?

Use Journal Citation Reports. For alternatives and more information, see our Journal Impact Factor Guide.

How do I make a donation?

Contact Micaela Sullivan-Fowler at 262-2402 or msullivan at library.wisc.edu. While we appreciate the thought, typically we cannot use journal back issues.

How do I submit / access course reserves?

To submit reserves, use our Reserves Requests Form. To access course reserves, use My UW. For more information, see Course Reserves

How do I get to electronic resources?

Use links from a UW-Madison library page (or the remote access bookmarklet). If you are off-campus you will be prompted to log in with your UW NetID [activate now] and password. See Off-campus Online Access for more information.

Can I renew the books I have checked out?

Usually you can use your MadCat account to check on and renew books you have checked out, as well as find out the status of recalls, and fine or fee information and more. Log in at the MyMadCat Account page with your 11 digit UW-Madison ID.

Do you have color printing and scanning?

Yes. Color printing is $.50 per page and requires a debit card (vending units in copy centers). Print jobs are sent to the color print queue which is handled from the Service Desk. All copy centers have scanners which can send color scans to e-mail. More information is available at Print/Copy/Scan.

Can the general public use the library?

Yes. We are open to and serve the public.

How do I get into the library for Study Hall?

Students with HSLC entry permissions on their WisCard or badge may enter the library using the library's front door badge reader. See the Study Hall Hours FAQ for more details about access and eligibility.

Do you proctor exams?

No, we do not proctor exams. UW Learning Innovations proctors exams for free at their office on Rosa Road, and they also have a proctor who may be able to supervise exams at the Lowell Center on campus. Students can call 877-895-3276 to get information about these services or to set up an appointment. Testing and Evaluation Services (373 Educational Sciences building) will also proctor exams for $15 per hour, and they can be reached by phone at 608-262-5863.
