Water and Soap Standing Guard against germs

Caricatures have long been used to convey ideas in an easily understandable way. This image of Soap and Water standing guard in their uniforms (notice the buttons?) against any enemy who dares to approach the House of Health, has many unlying meanings. Written during war time, the heroes of cleaniless with their serious demeanor teaches children that when it comes to fighting the enemy, microbes, these two soliders offer the best offense.
