    Offers consumer information from the Stanford Hospital Clinics. Includes information on drugs, disease and disorders, therapies and categories for men, women and children's health.
  • State Health Facts Online
    The Kaiser Family Foundation discloses important health and health policy information for all fifty states and US territories. Categories include demographics and the economy, health status, women's health, minority health, and HIV/ AIDS.

    A site for communities, track your health, ask a doctor and information on health topics. Physicians who are experts in their areas moderate many of the forums found at this site. Doctors and patients work together to create wikis or documents that can be edited by any user.

    A great place to find support groups for hundreds of health conditions, health news and vetted information on health issues from professionals in the field.
  • Acor.org (Association of Cancer Online Resources)

    This tool provides you with information on how well the hospitals in your area care for all their adult patients with certain medical conditions. This information will help you compare the quality of care hospitals provide.

  • Mayo Clinic (Drug Search section)
    Offers general information pertaining to the use of medicines. Also allows users to search by drug name or category from MICROMEDEX.
  • MEDLINEplus: Drug Information
    Offers extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs. Two drug resources are presented: MedMaster™, a product of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the USP DI® Advice for the Patient®, a product of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
  • NLM Drug Information Portal
    Provides quick access to information on over 12,000 drugs. The portal includes information from the National Library of Medicine and other key government agencies such as FDA and CDC.
  • Stanford Health Library Drug Information
    Provides drug information. Topics include drug interactions, adverse drug reactions and prescription drug assistance programs.

  • CINAHL Plus w/Full Text (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) Spotlight on CINAHL Plus
    Indexes literature related to nursing and allied health fields. Full-text articles are available for 36 of the journals. Also provides access to healthcare books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of professional practice, educational software and audiovisual materials in nursing.
  • Health and Wellness Resource Center
    Provides full text articles for nursing, allied health and consumer health subjects. Indexes approximately 205 periodicals, six reference books, and over 500 pamphlets. Selectively indexes articles in approximately 1500 additional general interest titles; and provides full text for over 150 periodicals and all reference books and pamphlets.

    This database is the richest collect of consumer health information available to libraries worldwide, providing information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.   • Nursing and Allied Health Collection: Basic
    Designed for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers, this database provides full text for nearly 100 journals covering the areas of nursing, biomedicine, health sciences, consumer health and allied health disciplines. All full-text titles included in Nursing and Allied Health: Basic Edition are indexed in CINAHL.
