About Library Express
Library Express is the University of Wisconsin-Madison interlibrary loan and document delivery service. Use Library Express to request journal articles, books and other materials. This service is available to all UW-Madison faculty, staff and students with a valid UW-Madison ID. If you are not affiliated with UW Madison, please use our Document Delivery Services for Non-Affiliates: Individuals and Corporations | Hospitals and Libraries.
For the fastest possible delivery, please note:
- Articles requested through Library Express are typically available within 1-3 days.
- Your article may be online, available to you now! Check
- You can request articles directly from PubMed
Click on the 'Find It' button in a PubMed abstract to automatically search for your article.
If it's not available online, click the 'Library Express' link in the 'Find It' results window to automatically fill out a request form. - Books, media and other loans requested through Library Express are typically available within 1-2 weeks.
- Books available on campus may be requested through Book Retrieval and delivered to the campus library of your choosing, typically in 1-3 business days.
- Books available from any of the UW System libraries may be requested through UW System Search and Borrow and are typically in 2-4 business days.
