Ebling Colleagues Awarded BioMedical Informatics Fellowships

Please join us in congratulating two of our own! Health Sciences librarians Ann Combs and Sandy Phelps have been awarded Fellowships at Woods Hole.  Ann and Sandy will have their tuition and expenses paid to spend a week attending a survey course designed to familiarize individuals with the application of computer technologies and information science in biomedicine and health science in the Marine Biological Laboratory at  Woods Hole in Massachusetts.  This competitive offering is sponsored by the National Library of Medicine with the expectation that returning participants apply their enhanced understanding of the tools and concepts of BioMedical Informatics to their constituents. Sandy attends this Spring, Ann in the Fall- their experience at Woods Hole will surely augment Ebling’s ability to serve patrons with BioMedical Informatics inquiries. Congratulations to Ann and Sandy.
