Curiosity did NOT Kill the Cat

Poem

There is a saying I’ve never liked
One deserving deletion, it should be striked
It states that curiosity often leads to tragedy
This, indeed, is far removed from reality
I declare, curiosity did not kill the cat
It saved it, and known should be that

The fervent desire to find answers
Is the commonality between all advancers
No question classified as “too complex” to address
By those in our world who make actual progress
It is through those who dare to seek explanations
That we see betterment for generations
I declare, curiosity did not kill the cat
It saved it, through removing free thought’s hemostat

The demand for advancements should be our response
A revival of thoughts leading to a new renaissance
The need to help animals we must not ignore
Where transforming information to application is stood up for
To incite query is a positive externality
Each quest for further knowledge pursued with tenacity
I declare, curiosity did not kill the cat
It saved it, providing a new way it’s looked at

Difficult, it is, to cement one’s legacy
Only accomplished, it can be, through writing one’s own destiny
Called for, was I, to care for creatures great and small
Needed is the acquisition of education to answer this call
I declare, curiosity did not kill the cat
Curiosity saved it, and that’s a fact
