Learn about one of the boardgames featured in Ebling’s collection. This workshop will introduce players to the rules of Azul and allows them to play one or more rounds with other attendees.
In Azul, players take turns drafting colored tiles from suppliers to their player board. Later in the round, players score points based on how they’ve placed their tiles to decorate a palace. Extra points are scored for specific patterns and completing sets but wasted supplies harm the player’s score.
If you require any accessibility accommodations to attend or participate in this event, please let us know by emailing joseph.king@wisc.edu with the subject “Learn to Play Azul.” Requests for sign-language interpreters, real-time captioning, Braille or electronic documents should be made at least two weeks before the event. We will attempt to fulfill requests made after this date but cannot guarantee they will be met.
Please note this workshop is for students in the health sciences programs. Workshop attendance is limited to eight participants.
