Learn about one of the boardgames featured in Ebling’s game collection. This workshop will introduce players to the rules of Sagrada and allow them to play a round with other attendees. Sagrada is fast, fun and very (of course) colorful – and you can learn and play it in less than an hour.
In Sagrada, players build a stained glass window by building up a grid of dice on their player board. Each board has some restrictions on which color or shade (value) of die can be placed there, and dice of the same shade or color may never be placed next to each other. Scoring is variable per game based on achieving various patterns and varieties of placement…as well as bonus points for achieving different hidden goals.
If you require any accessibility accommodations to attend or participate in this event, please let us know by emailing joseph.king@wisc.edu with the subject “Learn to Play Sagrada.” Requests for sign-language interpreters, real-time captioning, Braille or electronic documents should be made at least two weeks before the event. We will attempt to fulfill requests made after this date but cannot guarantee they will be met.
