Preparing an NIH proposal? Join us for a practical workshop on the NIH Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Plan, including the important 2026 updates that introduced a streamlined plan format required for applications submitted on or after May 25, 2026. Learn what has changed, what remains the same, and how to develop a compliant, effective DMS Plan that aligns with NIH expectations for managing, preserving, and sharing scientific data. We’ll review the new required plan elements, discuss common challenges and best practices, and provide guidance and resources to help you confidently prepare your next NIH application. Whether you’re writing your first DMS Plan or adapting to the new format, this session will equip you with the knowledge and tools you need for success.
If you require any accessibility accommodations to attend or participate in this event, please let us know by emailing trisha.adamus@wisc.edu with the subject “NIH Data Management Workshop Accommodations.” Requests for sign-language interpreters, real-time captioning, Braille or electronic documents should be made at least two weeks before the event. We will attempt to fulfill requests made after this date but cannot guarantee they will be met.
