Artificial intelligence (AI) is an ever-evolving, and often overwhelming topic. This workshop will give a high-level, critical overview of generative AI tools within the context of health sciences research. Specifically, the workshop will examine the benefits and limitations of using AI for searching and summarizing the literature, conducting systematic reviews, and writing manuscripts. Participants will walk away with knowledge of the strengths and shortcomings of some available generative AI tools, awareness of these tools’ potential applications, and fundamental skills on how to approach these tools using a critical lens.
