CHASM and Ebling are excited to launch a new book club for the 2025–26 academic year! This club is open to faculty, staff, and students in the School of Medicine and Public Health. We’ve picked nine books for us to read and talk about together—one each month from August through April. It’s a chance to come together as a community, share ideas, and connect through meaningful stories.
You’re welcome to join for as many or as few months as you’d like—there’s no pressure to participate every time. We have a limited number of books set aside for students, staff, and faculty; if you need a copy, please reach out. Discounted copies will also be available at A Room of One’s Own. If you’re willing to donate the book back after reading, we’d be grateful—your contribution helps support future club participants.
📚 Our First Book: Blue Sky Through the Window of a Moving Car, by Jordan Bolton
A powerful and poetic collection of comics that explore deeply human emotions and experiences— both heart-warming and heart-breaking in equal measure.
🗓 First Discussion Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 6:00 PM (via Zoom)
