In an event open to all, acclaimed author Percival Everett will discuss his award-winning novel James, which retells Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of runaway slave Jim, illustrating his agency, intelligence and compassion in a radical new light. James is the 2025 Go Big Read and there are free copies available.
