Before starting a systematic review or other evidence synthesis project, it is important to determine the viability, scope, and type of review you will be conducting. This workshop will walk you through the necessary steps to take before starting your review, including:
- Assembling your team
- Matching your question with a review type
- Locating existing and in-process reviews to avoid duplication.
- Identifying seed/exemplar articles for the reviews.
- Choosing tools to assist in screening, writing, and reporting processes.
- Identifying appropriate methods for conducting and reporting your review.
- Identifying potential journals for your review.
- Writing a protocol for the review.
