Disaster Workshop at the Health Sciences Learning Center

Dear All, (any librarians or library personnel, you don’t have to be a health science librarian…)

Please join us for the Medical Library Association Distance Education’s Webcast called: “Survival Tips and Stories: Expanding the Library’s Services in Times of Disaster.” Given Wisconsin’s recent spring flooding this is quite an timely subject.

The webcast is Wed. Nov. 12th from 1:00-3:00 at the Health Sciences Learning Center at 750 Highland Ave. Room 1248. There is no charge to attendees, but space is somewhat limited.

REGISTRATION FORM: http://projects.hsl.wisc.edu/mla/2008/survival-tips-webcast/

There are links on the registration form to the agenda, etc. There is also the opportunity for two wrap-around sessions- one at the beginning at 12:30 as a meet and greet, and for an hour after the WebCast for collegial, problem/solutions discussion. If you would be interested in the wrap-around sessions, please indicate that on the registration form.

The sponsorship of this webcast site has been funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract No. NLM-N01-LM-6-3503 with the University of Illinois at Chicago.
