The Ebling Library has lost one of its consummate librarians. Rebecca Joy Holz was in great part responsible for the web site you see here. Rebecca co-designed our home page, worked with countless colleagues on discipline specific portals, instructed patrons about RSS feeds and SmartPhone apps, and made our web content infinitely accessible. Anything web-related was within her purview. She was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge regarding new and existing technology and adroitly explained it to all of us who incorporated it into our work with patrons. Rebecca was insightful, droll, caring, tenacious, creative and passionate- not only about library programming and website navigation and application, but about those she cared about; especially her family of people and animals. Besides the lasting gift of her great laugh, organizational prowess, and technical expertise, she was also, at the end, an organ donor- that most selfless bequest. Please join the staff at Ebling with continual moments of thanks to Rebecca; she will be deeply, deeply missed.
