UW Science Expeditions 2022- Participate in all things Science!

On Sunday, April 10th, 2022, join countless scientists, clinicians, health sciences students, researchers, postdocs, and outreach specialists while they demonstrate the work they do at UW-Madison. The 20th Annual UW Science Expeditions is open to the public from 12:00-2:00 in the Health Sciences Learning Center Atrium (HSLC) at 750 Highland Ave. This is an in person event, and children, nieces, nephews, grandparents…kids of all ages are welcome!

  • The atrium is a mask free area in the HSLC, but there will be free high quality face masks available courtesy of SMPH if you prefer to wear one.

In past years over  700 children and their families visited “Exploration Stations” highlighting UW’s health science and clinical research. Ebling Library will have a Station, where you can learn how to optimally find health care resources, and your kids can reconstruct a “Velcro” skeleton.

There is also an art exhibition on the 3rd floor of Ebling Library called “Parts Unknown,” responses of print makers to 16th-19th century anatomy books from our Rare Books & Special Collections. There will also be tours at the School of Pharmacy across the street from the HSLC.  Please join us this year, it promises to be, as always, full of “I never knew that ” moments.
